Ranking the 10 greatest Cleveland Guardians of all time
3. Bob Feller, RHP (1936-41, 1945-56)
Feller is one of Cleveland鈥檚 top baseball legends, spending his entire 18-year MLB career with the franchise. The talented right-handed pitcher was a four-time All-Star before three years out of the game to serve in the military from 1942-44. Feller returned by making four additional All-Star appearances in six seasons after his service, and led the American League with 22 wins in 1951, one of six career 20-win campaigns. Feller was a true workhorse, often leading the league in games and innings pitched. He also led the big leagues in strikeouts seven times, and his 2,581 career strikeouts remain a Guardians franchise record. Feller鈥檚 266 wins also lead the franchise, as do his 279 complete games. Feller鈥檚 retired No. 19 is showcased in right field at Progressive Field, and he was also inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1937.
