4. Lou Boudreau, SS (1938-50)
Boudreau is one of multiple players on this list who spent part of his tenure in Cleveland as both a player and manager. Like the others, he had a significant impact on the franchise, highlighted by an MVP award in 1948, becoming one of just three Cleveland players to ever accomplish the feat. Boudreau also helped the franchise win its second World Series title that season, and made the final of seven career All-Star appearances. The shortstop鈥檚 1,706 career hits rank sixth in franchise history, and he also ranks within the top 15 in career RBIs (740). Boudreau spent additional time as a manager after his playing career, and eventually had his No. 5 retired by Cleveland while also being inducted into the franchise鈥檚 Hall of Fame in 1954, and the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1970.
