Top 10 Indiana high school baseball players in Class of 2025
8. Alex Barr, LHP, Kankakee Valley
Barr is one of several skilled left-handed pitchers in the Hoosier State鈥檚 Class of 2025 and is poised for a strong finish to his prep career at Kankakee Valley this spring. Barr has a good release that is tough on hitters and a nice mix of pitches, including a fastball that can reach the mid-90s, and a strong slider, curveball and changeup. Barr鈥檚 stuff has really stood out at various showcases throughout the past year, particularly at the East Coast Pro and the MLB High School All-American game. He鈥檒l aim to continue the same success in his final year at Kankakee Valley where Barr has already posted 116 strikeouts through three seasons, while also having an impact at the plate for the Kougars. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound southpaw will stay in-state to play for the Indiana Hoosiers after his time at Kankakee Valley.
Highlights from East Coast Pro – 4 K鈥檚, 2 broken bats and a comp to Tarik Skubal
