Malik Reneau transferring: 5 landing spots for Indiana forward

Miami Hurricanes

Miami is one of a couple of schools that have already been tied to Reneau during his short stay in the portal thus far and would allow him to play close to home during his final collegiate season. The Hurricanes are entering a full rebuild, going just 7-24 and finishing dead last in the ACC after Jim Larranaga’s resignation in December. Former Texas, Kentucky and Duke assistant Jai Lucas has taken over as the Hurricanes’ next head coach and will likely need to make several additions through the portal this offseason to fill out his roster. Even if Lucas retains some of Miami’s talent, the Canes still need to rebuild their frontcourt with Lynn Kidd and Brandon Johnson out of eligibility, and Kiree Huie transferring. Reneau would help fill the void and could be a splash addition early in Lucas’ tenure.
