Top 10 freshman NCAA softball players of the 2025 season
6. Cambria Salmon, RHP, Texas
Salmon has flown under the radar a bit with the abundance of talent that Texas has on its roster, but it鈥檚 clear she has the potential to become a star during her time in Austin. Citlaly Gutierrez and Teagan Kavan have been impressive again for the Longhorns, but Salmon has also mixed in for seven starts in 12 appearances, going a perfect 6-0. The 5-foot-8 freshman from California has a solid 1.39 ERA, ranking fourth among freshmen across the country and within the top 40 among all pitchers. She has also struck out 54 batters, has a solid 0.69 WHIP and has held opponents to a .139 batting average. Salmon isn鈥檛 needed for the amount of work someone like freshman Ella Harrison has seen with Rutgers, but her talent is evident and she could play a big role in a potential national-championship run for the Longhorns.
there's a new pitcher for the Longhorns to close it out 馃
everyone, say hello to Cambria |
