Top 10 freshman NCAA softball players of the 2025 season
7. Audrey Vandagriff, OF, Alabama
Alabama isn鈥檛 as deep or highly ranked as some of its SEC rivals, but it remains a top-25 squad featuring a budding star with Vandagriff. The 6-foot outfielder from Georgia has had a highly impressive start to her collegiate career, leading Alabama in most offensive categories, including batting average (.438). Vandagriff has also added a home run, 15 RBIs and 27 runs with a strong .538 on-base percentage. She has proven to be one of the most dangerous players in the country once she reaches the base pads, leading the nation with 34 steals in 37 attempts. While the Crimson Tide have several talented players in their lineup, like Abby Duchscherer and Kali Heivilin, among others, Vandagriff is their spark plug and could help Alabama rise in the SEC in the coming months.
Prior to this season, only three UA players – Kayla Braud, Jen Fenton and Elissa Brown – had 4+ stolen bases in multiple games through their career
