4. Ohio State Buckeyes
Ohio State hasn鈥檛 always looked like an NCAA Tournament team with a 38-point loss to Auburn in December and a 21-point home loss to Northwestern last month. However, the Buckeyes have been competitive otherwise and have picked up strong wins over Kentucky, Purdue and Maryland. They also earned a big two-overtime victory over Nebraska recently and have one more crucial regular-season matchup awaiting against Indiana. A win would go a long way to putting Ohio State into the field, as would a good performance at the Big Ten tournament. Ohio State is strong offensively, led by skilled guard Bruce Thornton. Freshman guard John Mobley Jr. has also emerged, and veteran Micah Parrish, who played in a national championship with San Diego State, gives the team a well-rounded roster capable of winning games in the Big Dance.
