Top 10 Texas high school baseball players in Class of 2025
4. Cooper Rummel, RHP, Dripping Springs
Rummel is arguably the top pitcher to watch in the Austin area this spring and is one of the best righthanders in the state overall. Rummel was highly impressive at Dripping Springs last season, going 9-1 with a 0.87 ERA and 88 strikeouts across 56 ⅔ innings. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound senior has a powerful fastball that can touch the mid-90s and also an impactful slider. That’ll be seen again this spring for the Tigers just as it was during a strong summer where Rummel competed at showcases like the Perfect Game All-American Classic and was one of several Texas prep stars to play for USA Baseball. Rummel is one of multiple senior pitchers in the Lone Star State who is committed to Texas and may also have the option to pursue an MLB career this summer.
