3. Aaron Glenn, New York Jets
The Jets have been down this road before: hiring a defensive-minded leader who will be tasked with steadying a franchise that has the longest playoff drought in the NFL at 14 seasons. Robert Saleh didn鈥檛 prove to be the guy, but Jets fans should have more optimism in Glenn turning things around. Glenn has familiarity with the organization as a former player with the Jets in the late 1990s and early 2000s. While this will be his first head-coaching job, Glenn has coached in the NFL for over a decade with the Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions. Glenn learned under one of the league鈥檚 top coaches in Detroit, Dan Campbell, and fielded strong defensive units in recent years. Hiring an offensive coach may have provided a higher ceiling, but Glenn has the right mentality and acumen to get the Jets over the playoff hump.
