4. Pete Carroll, Las Vegas Raiders
After a year away from coaching, Carroll will be back on an NFL sideline with the Raiders. While the league leans toward hiring young offensive minds, it鈥檚 hard to ignore Carroll鈥檚 resume as the only hire in this cycle who previously won a Super Bowl as a head coach. The 73-year-old began his coaching career back in 1973, spending time at the collegiate level before becoming an assistant in the NFL. He was the head coach of the New York Jets in 1994, the New England Patriots from 1997-99 and the Seattle Seahawks from 2010-23 following a stint where he won two national championships at USC. Carroll led Seattle to 10 playoff appearances and a Super Bowl XLVIII victory. The Raiders need to rebuild their roster, but Carroll should provide a steady presence and could elevate a franchise that has reached the playoffs just twice in 22 seasons.
