Ranking the best Big Ten basketball players at midway point
7. Vladislav Goldin, C, Michigan
Michigan has surged toward the top of the Big Ten thanks to its 7-foot big men: Danny Wolf and Goldin. Wolf has also been one of the best players in the conference as a big man with guard-like ability, putting up special stat lines like 21 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists and six blocks in a January win over USC. However, it鈥檚 hard to envision where Michigan would be without Goldin who leads the Wolverines with 15.6 points per contest. Goldin has scored in double figures in all but one Big Ten game while shooting an efficient 64% from the field and 50% from deep in a limited sample size. Goldin also averages six rebounds and is impactful defensively with 1.6 blocks per contest. The 7-foot-1, 250-pound big man has made a seamless transition from Florida Atlantic to Michigan and is arguably the best center in the conference.
