Top 10 NCAA women’s basketball All-American candidates in 2025
3. Lauren Betts, UCLA
Betts and the Bruins are in for an exciting battle to win the Big Ten as both UCLA and JuJu Watkins-led USC are undefeated in conference play. Like Watkins, Betts may have a national player of the year case by the time all is said and done as she has been the catalyst for UCLA starting 20-0 and sitting atop the AP poll for 10 consecutive weeks. The dominant 6-foot-7 junior from Colorado is averaging 21 points, 9.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists and three blocks while shooting an efficient 64.2% from the field – a top-10 mark in the country. Betts’ size and skill give her the ability to dominate in a way that very few can in women’s college basketball right now. A pair of late-season head-to-head matchups with USC will go a long way in deciding the Big Ten and player of the year races.
