Top 10 college football QBs returning for 2025 season
6. Carson Beck, Miami
Beck suffered a UCL injury to his right elbow in the SEC championship game, but provided he is healthy, he will remain one of the best quarterbacks in the country after a somewhat surprising return to the college level. Beck shined as a starter at Georgia the past two seasons, throwing for 3,941 yards and 24 touchdowns in 2023, and 3,485 yards and 28 touchdowns in 2024, which were both top-15 marks in the country this past season. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound quarterback has a strong arm and has proven to be an accurate passer with a 68.6% completion rate over the past two seasons. Now, he will fill some big shoes left behind by Cam Ward who was a Heisman finalist in his lone season at Miami. Beck has similar upside and could thrive in Shannon Dawson鈥檚 offense with some new weapons around him.
