Top 10 Illinois boys basketball players in Class of 2025
3. Phoenix Gill, SG, St. Ignatius
Gill鈥檚 name is plenty familiar in Illinois as his father, Kendall Gill, was a standout at Rich Central High School in Olympia Fields before becoming an All-American at Illinois and later enjoying a 16-year NBA career. Phoenix will also play Big Ten basketball in the Prairie State, committing to Chris Collins and Northwestern this past summer. Before the 6-foot-3 guard joins the Wildcats, he will aim to finish a terrific high school career at St. Ignatius on a high note. Phoenix was named a Class 4A honorable mention all-state guard last season, averaging 17.1 points, six rebounds, and 2.6 assists for the 16-15 Wolfpack. Gill is a terrific scorer and both his physicality and basketball IQ stand out when he鈥檚 on the court. Those traits should eventually make him a perfect fit while playing for Collins at Northwestern.
PHOENIX GILL IS HEADED TO NORTHWESTERN. 馃憖馃毃
