2. Dietrich Richardson, PG, Manual
Richardson will be an exciting player to watch this season as he is a quick and explosive guard who attacks the basket frequently and finishes strong at the rim. The 6-foot-6 senior also has good length and a nice shooting touch as he can impact the game in multiple ways. He certainly has done so at Manual High School as he was a first-team all-conference performer as a sophomore before being named second-team all-state last season. Richardson averaged 18.5 points, six rebounds, five assists and a steal during his junior year, helping the Rams to a 21-12 record and a Class 2A regional title. Manual could go even further this season behind its star guard who will stay home to play college basketball at Bradley, committing to the Braves over other in-state programs like Illinois and DePaul.
