Ranking each Big Ten basketball head coach for 2024-25 season
6. Eric Musselman, USC
Musselman has rebuilding to do at USC but the Trojans could rise toward the top of the Big Ten sooner rather than later. The 60-year-old鈥檚 resume speaks for itself and includes a vast amount of experience with stints as a head coach in the NBA for the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings. Musselman first became a collegiate head coach at Nevada in 2015, leading the Wolf Pack to a CBI championship and three NCAA Tournament appearances across four years. He then led Arkansas to two Elite Eights and a Sweet 16 in three consecutive seasons before a down 2023-24 campaign. Musselman has impressively won 70% of his games at the collegiate level and his teams are always a threat in March. He has an old-school, hard-working style and his NBA principles should create an interesting fit for USC in the Big Ten.
