Ranking 10 college football RBs who could win Doak Walker Award
6. Le’Veon Moss, Texas A&M
Texas A&M has started the Mike Elko era strong and the Aggies could challenge for a College Football Playoff berth down the stretch. A big reason for their success is a top-10 rushing attack led by Moss. The 6-foot, 215-pound junior tailback has run for 609 yards and six touchdowns through six games, with one of his most impressive performances coming in the Aggies’ statement win over Missouri in Week 6 where he had 138 yards and three touchdowns on just 12 carries. That was one of three 100-yard efforts from Moss this year who ranks 17th in the country with 101.5 yards per game and 12th with 6.9 yards per carry. Moss is a powerful and physical runner who can gain yards after contact, and being one of the top ball carriers in the SEC will give him a chance at the Doak Walker Award.
