6. Luke Fickell, Wisconsin
Fickell didn鈥檛 have the success some expected in his first year at Wisconsin in 2023 but still led the Badgers to a 7-6 record as the team battled some injuries to key players. Fickell has done a nice job overall on the recruiting trail over the past year and expectations continue to be high for the veteran coach going into 2024. Fickell has a wealth of Big Ten experience from his time playing at Ohio State and coaching for the Buckeyes from 2002-16 before taking over at Cincinnati where he went 57-18 and helped the Bearcats reach the College Football Playoff. Wisconsin could be a darkhorse to do the same this year under the 50-year-old Fickell if it can shore up its defense and produce better offensive results in the second year of Phil Longo鈥檚 system. Regardless, the future in Madison remains bright with Fickell at the helm.
