7. Matt Rhule, Nebraska
Rhule enters his second season at Nebraska with fairly high expectations as the Cornhuskers are viewed by some as a potential playoff darkhorse with five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola ready to take the field. Rhule went just 5-7 in year one at Nebraska but actually did a decent job with the hand he was dealt. That came on the heels of a failed NFL tenure with the Panthers, but before that, Rhule was an emerging collegiate coach after back-to-back 10-win seasons at Temple and an 11-win campaign at Baylor. The 49-year-old鈥檚 creative offensive mind could ultimately be a perfect match with Raiola and might get Nebraska back to the level it was at a decade ago during the Bo Pelini era as the Huskers have just one winning season since 2014 and haven鈥檛 reached a bowl game since 2016.
