Ranking each Big Ten starting QB for the 2024 football season
2. Drew Allar, Penn State
Allar is one of just two quarterbacks in the top 10 of this list who started a full Big Ten season last year. Even with a large influx of talent entering the conference, Allar remains one of the top signal callers for 2024. The big-bodied 6-foot-5, 240-pound quarterback arrived in State College as a five-star recruit and arguably the top quarterback prospect in the Class of 2022. He earned his chance as Penn State鈥檚 full-time starter last year, passing for 2,631 yards and 25 touchdowns with just two interceptions. Allar鈥檚 59.9% completion rate could be improved and it would also be nice to see him air it out more under new offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki after averaging just 6.8 yards per completion last year. Still, Allar has all the tools of a high-level quarterback and should only keep improving with increased experience.
