Ranking each Big Ten starting QB for the 2024 football season
1. Dillon Gabriel, Oregon
Not many quarterbacks have more experience or better career numbers entering the 2024 season than Gabriel. Outside of a 2021 campaign where he was injured, Gabriel has thrown for at least 3,100 yards in each season of his college career with UCF and Oklahoma. The 5-foot-11, 205-pound quarterback from Hawaii also has 125 touchdowns in his career and just 26 interceptions. The 2023 season was arguably his best as Gabriel threw for a career-high 3,660 yards and 30 touchdowns, and also completed a career-best 69.3% of his passes. Gabriel is also mobile, rushing for 373 yards and 12 scores last year. Now, the sixth-year signal caller will pair up with one of college football鈥檚 top offensive minds, Dan Lanning, which pits him as a Heisman favorite and the undisputed top quarterback in the Big Ten entering the season.
