10 most impactful players for the 2024 College World Series
Jamie Arnold, LHP, Florida State
The hitting across college baseball has been strong in 2024, particularly among the eight teams in the College World Series field, but some standout pitchers are also ready to take the mound in Omaha led by Arnold. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound sophomore has a top 20 ERA in the country at 2.77 that is even more impressive considering he has made 17 starts and has logged over 100 innings this year. Arnold is also third in the country with 155 strikeouts and has put up a solid 7.05 strikeout-to-walk ratio and 1.03 WHIP while going 11-3 overall for 47-win Florida State. Arnold had a 12-strikeout performance in regionals before a tough outing in super regionals, but he seems poised to bounce back and will be the most important arm for the Noles in Omaha.
