10 most impactful players for the 2024 College World Series
Evan Aschenbeck, LHP, Texas A&M
Texas A&M has a very talented group of pitchers on its roster including starter Ryan Prager, but it鈥檚 Aschenbeck who might ultimately take the Aggies where they want to go over the next week or two. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound senior has arguably been the top relief pitcher in all of college baseball in 2024 and leads the nation with a 1.66 ERA across 65 innings pitched where he has given up just 12 earned runs all season. Aschenbeck has also struck out 72 batters with a 0.80 WHIP, going 6-1 overall for the 49-win Aggies with nine saves while allowing opponents to hit just .185. The first-team All-SEC reliever has been terrific in three tournament appearances thus far and will be one of the top arms to watch in Omaha.
