10 most impactful players for 2024 Women’s College World Series
NiJaree Canady, P, Stanford
There have been some tremendous pitchers across college softball this season and several will be featured in Oklahoma City, but it is hard to argue against Canady being at the top of that group. Canady was recently named Pitcher of the Year by Softball America and is in the midst of an incredible season where she has gone 22-5 with a 0.65 ERA, the best among all Division I pitchers. Canady also leads the country by a wide margin in strikeouts with 310 across 204 ⅔ innings pitched and has an impressive 0.66 WHIP and .142 opponent batting average while giving up just 19 earned runs all year. The 6-foot sophomore did have a tough outing against LSU early in super regionals but bounced back to lead Stanford to Oklahoma City where she’ll be a vital piece to the Cardinal making a run.
