Top 10 breakout candidates for the 2024 WNBA season
Cameron Brink, F, Los Angeles Sparks
Following a tremendous collegiate career at Stanford, Brink was selected No. 2 overall by the Sparks last month and probably would have been the top pick in most drafts if it wasn鈥檛 for Caitlin Clark. Still, Brink has tantalizing upside in Los Angeles as a solid scorer and an even better post defender. The 6-foot-4 forward became a national champion with the Cardinal as a freshman and got better on the offensive end each year at Stanford, averaging 17.4 points and 11.9 rebounds in her senior season. Defensively, Brink averaged over three blocks in her college career and blocked 3.7 shots per contest in 2023-24. Thanks to her size and skill, it shouldn鈥檛 take her long to earn her spot as one of the league鈥檚 elite frontcourt players.
