Top 10 breakout candidates for the 2024 WNBA season
Dana Evans, G, Chicago Sky
Evans is one of multiple young Sky players who should have an opportunity to break out this summer as the 25-year-old will likely step into a starting role despite just two starts in her entire WNBA career thus far. The 5-foot-6 guard was the 13th overall pick in the 2021 WNBA Draft and had a slow start to her career with the Dallas Wings before seeing more playing time with the Sky over the last few seasons. She played a career-high 21.5 minutes in 2023 and put up career-best numbers as a result, averaging nine points and three assists. Those numbers should continue to increase this season as Evans has a chance to become one of the leaders of the Sky鈥檚 offense.
