Dug McDaniel enters transfer portal: 5 landing spots for guard

When he was being recruited out of high school, McDaniel earned an offer from George Mason where Kim English was the new head coach. While McDaniel ultimately joined the bigger program at Michigan, English rebuilt the Patriots program and earned the head coaching position at Providence. Now the two could be interested in joining forces once again.
With the Friars set to lose Ticket Gaines to graduation and potentially Devin Carter to the NBA Draft, the program will be in need of impact guards. This is where McDaniel could fit well, sliding into a heavy contributing role with his offensive abilities. Though McDaniel didn鈥檛 pick English鈥檚 program the first time around, the bigger Providence program could be more appealing to the star guard.
