10 most impactful players for NCAA women鈥檚 basketball tournament
9. Madison Booker, F, Texas
There have been a lot of impressive freshmen throughout women鈥檚 college basketball this season and Booker is one of the headliners of that group. Booker was recently named the Big 12 Freshman of the Year and became the first freshman to ever win Big 12 Player of the Year as she shared the honor with Oklahoma鈥檚 Skylar Vann. On the season, Booker has averaged 16.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.6 steals while shooting 45.5% from the field. The 6-foot-1 forward showed progression during the year as she averaged over 20 points in Big 12 play for Texas and has scored in double figures in 20 consecutive games. Her ability to impact the game in all facets will be key for a top-10 Longhorns team that is likely to earn a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
