10 most impactful players for NCAA women’s basketball tournament
10. Jacy Sheldon, G, Ohio State
Clark garners a lot of the headlines in the Big Ten, but the conference features several terrific players like Indiana forward Mackenzie Holmes – whose postseason status is in question due to a knee injury – and Sheldon, who helped lead Ohio State to the Big Ten regular-season title. Sheldon has been incredibly consistent in her five years with the Buckeyes and her return to full health this season has coincided with Ohio State going 25-4 and spending the past several weeks as a top-five team in the nation. The 5-foot-10 guard is averaging 18.2 points, 3.8 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 2.1 steals while shooting 51.3% from the field and 39.3% from 3-point range. Sheldon is one of the top point guards in the country and she and Cotie McMahon are capable of leading Ohio State on a deep run.
