North Carolina has seen offensive success under Mack Brown in recent years and ranked No. 7 in the country in total offense in 2023 while also featuring a top-20 rushing attack. A big reason why was Hampton who is poised for a special third season in Chapel Hill. After showing flashes of potential as a freshman, Hampton became the Tar Heels鈥� featured back in 2023, rushing for 1,504 yards 鈥� the fifth-most among all FBS running backs 鈥� and 15 touchdowns while averaging just shy of six yards per carry. The 6-foot, 200-pound running back also added 22 receptions for 222 yards and an additional score. Hampton鈥檚 blend of speed and power could make him a favorite to win the Doak Walker Award next season.
