4. Ollie Gordon II, RB, Oklahoma State
The Heisman Trophy has become a quarterback鈥檚 award as just three running backs have earned the honor since 2000 with the last being Derrick Henry in 2015. Yet, with the way Gordon II finished the regular season at Oklahoma State, he certainly could be in the running for the award next December. The 6-foot-2 sophomore has a tremendous blend of speed and power that has helped him run for 1,614 yards and 20 touchdowns in 2023, averaging 6.3 yards per carry. Gordon II had 100-yard rushing performances in eight of the Pokes鈥� final nine regular season games and put up back-to-back games with at least 270 rushing yards in that span. The 2023 Doak Walker Award winner may have a chance to add a Heisman to his trophy case next fall.
