Ranking 10 early favorites to win the 2024 Heisman Trophy
5. Quinn Ewers, QB, Texas
Ewers was considered the by most coming out of Southlake High School in Texas. After spending time at Ohio State, he returned to the Lone Star State and had a decent first season as a starter in 2022 in Austin. The 2023 season for Ewers wasn鈥檛 necessarily a true breakout but he did take a big leap forward, throwing for 3,161 yards, 21 touchdowns and six interceptions. He also improved his completion rate drastically to 70.7%. While seen as a potential NFL draft prospect, in recent weeks. A return could depend on how Texas does in the College Football Playoff which could also ultimately be a springboard for what might be a Heisman-type season in 2024.
