The Wolfpack are another team that鈥檚 been led by a quarterback who has exhausted eligibility. Brennan Armstrong has served as NC State鈥檚 signal caller this season after he spent his first five years at Virginia. With an 8-3 record, the Wolfpack have played well, but not quite up to the high expectations they had coming into the season.
NC State offensive coordinator Robert Anae is a disciple of Leach鈥檚 offense, having served as his offensive line coach at Texas Tech from 2000-2004, and runs a similar spread out scheme. The Wolfpack passing attack has struggled this season as it is ranked No. 107 in the country. Rogers could come in and not only replace Armstrong鈥檚 veteran presence, but could even elevate NC State鈥檚 passing game as it looks to improve upon its record next season.
