5. Jason Jakstys, F, Yorkville
Jakstys鈥� stock continues to rise as he is now ranked , and he is poised for a strong senior season at Yorkville High School. The ascension of the 6-foot-10 big man is thanks in part to a strong summer playing for Breakaway Basketball, as well as a solid junior season with the Foxes in which he averaged 11.5 points and eight rebounds as he helped Yorkville to a program-record 26 wins. A player with big-time potential at both ends of the floor, Jakstys will look to take Yorkville one step further in 2023-24 before playing college basketball for Brad Underwood at Illinois, committing to the Fighting Illini last July.
