Top 10 Big Ten basketball players entering 2023-24 season
6. Dawson Garcia, F, Minnesota
Garcia has bounced around early in his college basketball career, but it seems he has finally found a home at Minnesota. A highly-touted recruit, Garcia had a nice freshman season at Marquette before taking his talents to North Carolina, but struggled in Chapel Hill in his sophomore season. In 2022-23, Garcia had a tremendous bounceback campaign and put things all together with the Golden Gophers, averaging 15.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists while shooting 45% from the field as a threat inside and out. Although he plays for what is again projected to be the worst team in the Big Ten, the 6-foot-11 forward is one of the league鈥檚 best talents, and could take an even bigger leap forward in his fourth season.
