Top 10 Big Ten basketball players entering 2023-24 season
7. Ace Baldwin Jr., G, Penn State
Micah Shrewsberry did an incredible job building Penn State into an NCAA Tournament team last season. However, Shrewsberry is now off to Notre Dame, leading the Nittany Lions to hire former VCU head coach Mike Rhoades. Following Rhoades to State College is one of his most talented players from his time with the Rams: Baldwin Jr. The 6-foot-1 guard possesses tremendous skill on both ends of the court, and that was on full display during his time at VCU. Last season, Baldwin Jr. started 30 games and played nearly 35 minutes per contest as the Rams’ floor general, averaging 12.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 2.2 steals while shooting over 34% from deep. Immediately, Baldwin Jr. slots in as one of the most talented guards in the Big Ten, and will be a nice addition to a team that lost Jalen Pickett to the NBA.
