Ranking the top 10 SEC players entering 2023-24 season
5. Antonio Reeves, G, Kentucky
Kentucky, per usual, has a talented incoming freshman class coming in this season, but a couple of veterans remain on the team headlined by Reeves. The 6-foot-5 senior guard out of Chicago has been terrific throughout his college basketball career thus far, three seasons of which were spent at Illinois State. As a junior, Reeves averaged over 20 points, and even after taking on a lesser role as he joined the Wildcats, Reeves still posted averages of 14.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 2022-23. Reeves was at his best late in the year with 37 points against Arkansas in Kentucky鈥檚 regular-season finale, and 22-point games in both the SEC Tournament and NCAA Tournament. Reeves’ numbers may not drastically increase this season, but he could be the veteran piece that gets John Calipari back to the Final Four.
