The Hoosiers have beaten (2020 and 1945) and Indiana鈥檚 1945 team posted a 9-0-1 record, captured its first Big Ten title and outscored its opponents 279-56. It finished No. 4 in the AP poll following a 7-7 tie with Northwestern and George Taliaferro became the first African-American running back to lead the conference in rushing.
