3. Jayden Borders, Shelby (2013-16)
Borders is another player who could do it all at the receiver position as he was elite for the Golden Lions. During his time at the prep level, Borders recorded 266 catches, fourth-most all-time, 4,653 yards, third-most all-time, and 58 touchdown receptions, fourth-most all-time. He also caught a touchdown in 13 consecutive games, the second-longest streak in NCHSAA history.
Borders was a three-star prospect coming out of college and committed to in-state East Carolina. Unfortunately, things didn鈥檛 work out for Borders there and he never played a collegiate snap.
