Top 10 all-time leading rushers in Indiana HS football
6. Nick Zachery, Sheridan (2005-08)
Zachery鈥檚 time at Sheridan saw him put up some staggering individual numbers, but it was also the team success that the Blackhawks had during his years with the program that stands out. Zachery helped Sheridan to a 56-4 record from 2005-08, as well as three state championship wins and four state finals appearances. The four-time all-state player and 2008 Mr. Football runner-up played all over the field for the Blackhawks, rushing for 1,972 yards and 31 touchdowns as a senior while also making 126 tackles and picking off nine passes on defense. He totaled an impressive 7,331 rushing yards in his high school career.
Following his incredible tenure at Sheridan, Zachery began his career at Indiana, joining the Hoosiers as a three-star athlete. After redshirting in 2009, the 6-foot-1, 195-pound talent finally saw the field in Bloomington the following season as he transitioned from defensive back to wide receiver.
