Top 10 highest-rated Colorado HS football players since 2000
4. Zach Latimer, LB, Gateway – 0.9835
The son of former Miami (FL) standout and Denver Broncos player Don Latimer, Zach Latimer was poised to follow in his father鈥檚 footsteps, and did just that beginning with a tremendous high school career at Gateway. While playing for the Olympians, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound linebacker became a five-star recruit and the 37th-best player nationally in the 2002 class.
His career led him to Oklahoma to play for a powerhouse program led by head coach Bob Stoops. With the Sooners, Zach would make 26 starts, racking up 180 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, seven sacks, three interceptions and two forced fumbles while being named All-Big 12 honorable mention as a junior and senior. Zach was not selected in the 2007 NFL Draft, but did earn a tryout with Washington.
