Top 10 highest-rated Colorado HS football players since 2000
5. Chris Martin, DE, Grandview – 0.9774
Martin was a truly coveted player coming out of high school, as he put together a remarkable career at Grandview that saw him have three-consecutive seasons with over 100 tackles. As a junior, the 6-foot-4 defensive end made 40 tackles for loss, and as a senior, he put together a 110-tackle season in which he also had four sacks. As a result, Martin was the top player in the Centennial State鈥檚 2010 class, and a top-50 player nationally.
Originally committed to Notre Dame, Martin later pledged to play at Cal before transferring to Florida prior to the 2010 season. However, legal troubles would derail his time in Gainesville, and continued to plague him as he played at City College of San Francisco, and before he ever took the field for the Kansas Jayhawks. After being dismissed from Kansas, Martin ended up at New Mexico Highlands University.
