Top 10 highest-rated Colorado HS football players since 2000

6. Butch Lewis, OL, Regis Jesuit – 0.9750

Lewis had a strong football career overall, particularly at Regis Jesuit playing on both the offensive and defensive lines. On defense, Lewis had 10 sacks as a junior, and added seven more as a senior in addition to 65 tackles. Meanwhile, he excelled on offense, becoming an All-American lineman, and ranking as the fourth-best offensive tackle in the Class of 2006, as well as the 58th-best player overall.

With offers from many of college football’s powerhouse programs, Lewis chose to play at USC where he began his career as a reserve, but soon turned into a dependable starter on the Trojans’ offensive line. The 6-foot-5, 300-pound tackle was taken in the 2011 NFL Draft, but was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Kansas City Chiefs. He would also spend time with the Minnesota Vikings during the 2011 season.
