Top 10 all-time leading passers in Washington HS football
4. Brian Lindgren, DeSales (1995-98)
Lindgren is the only player on this list whose high school career took place in the 1990s, perhaps making his No. 4 ranking all the more impressive. DeSales Catholic did not have to wait long for another standout quarterback to come about in T.J. Conley, but before him, Lindgren set the stage with 12,575 career passing yards, which included two of the best single-season passing seasons in state history in both 1996 and 1998. Lindgren was also Washington鈥檚 all-time passing touchdown leader with 162 until Kellen Moore came along.
Following his time at DeSales, Lindgren played for future NFL head coach Tom Cable at Idaho, throwing for just shy of 6,500 yards and 44 touchdowns across three seasons. Unlike several guys on this list, Lindgren jumped almost immediately into coaching rather than a pro-playing career. After several years at Northern Arizona, Lindgren became the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at San Jose State in 2012, and held the same roles at Colorado through the mid 2010s. He has since overseen a potent Oregon State squad as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach since 2018.
