3. Spencer Haywood, Trinidad State Community College
Haywood starred during his lone season at Trinidad State Community College as he averaged 28.2 points and 22.1 rebounds that year. The forward then transferred to Detroit Mercy where he played an additional year before making his way to the ABA.
After one dominant season in the ABA where he was named both rookie of the year and MVP, Haywood was selected No. 30 overall in the second round of the 1971 NBA Draft by the Seattle SuperSonics. Haywood went on to be named an All-Star four times, All-NBA four times and won the 1980 NBA title with the Lakers. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2015.
