Matt McMahon鈥檚 first season as LSU鈥檚 head basketball coach didn鈥檛 exactly go as planned due to a dead-last finish (14-19) in the SEC (2-16). Luckily for McMahon and the Tigers, they鈥檝e found luck in the transfer portal by landing former Tulane point guard Jalen Cook and former Santa Clara combo guard Carlos Stewart (both are top-25 transfer portal players, according to). LSU was fourth-worst in the SEC last season in rebounding and Nelson would not only help in that regard, but he鈥檇 also help the Tigers鈥� offense which also was fourth-worst in points per game. McMahon has already shown the ability to recruit out of the transfer portal but Nelson would be the biggest get yet.
