鈥淚 have dreamed of becoming a professional basketball player and I鈥檓 going to continue to chase that dream by entering my name into the 2023 NBA Draft,鈥� Nelson said in an Instagram post on April 18. The Devils Lake, North Dakota native has all the tools that NBA teams want in their big men: versatility, rebounding as well as defensive prowess, range and skill. In an evolving NBA where old-school post players are becoming extinct, Nelson could flourish. His age (21 years old) also leaves the door open for continued improvement. A strong combine showing could result in Nelson hearing his name called during June鈥檚 2023 NBA Draft.
