Brandon Newman enters transfer portal; 5 possible landing spots

Oklahoma Sooners head coach Porter Moser has valued tough-minded guards that can play on both ends since his days at Loyola Chicago, and Newman certainly fits that bill. Moser will also likely be looking to add to his roster quite a bit through the transfer portal this offseason, as both Tanner and Jacob Groves, star guards Grant Sherfield and Jalen Hill, as well as Bijan Cortes, Joe Bamisile, CJ Noland and Benny Schroeder, are all leaving Norman, Oklahoma. Newman would face strong competition in the Big 12, but Oklahoma is an opportunity for him to earn starter’s minutes and blossom into a more consistent scorer.
