LJ Cryer enters transfer portal; 5 possible landing spots
2. Houston
Cryer played his high school basketball for Morton Ranch High School in Katy, Texas. If he wanted to stay in his home state, he could look just down the road from his high school at Houston, just 30 miles away from Katy.
As one of the top teams in the country, Houston disappointed during the tournament by only making it to the Sweet 16 round despite being a No. 1 seed. With Marcus Sasser declaring for the NBA draft and fellow guard Tramon Mark entering the transfer portal, Cryer could fit right into a Cougars lineup that is ready to make a push for a championship. Head coach Kelvin Sampson knows Cryer well from his high school days as a recruit and now he should try to win the point guard over again to help his team make its championship run.
