LJ Cryer enters transfer portal; 5 possible landing spots
1. Kansas State
The Wildcats had one of the best seasons under first-year head coach Jerome Tang this season including a run to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament. However, the team was led by point guard Markquis Nowell who is now set to test NBA waters and the team will also lose fellow guard Desi Sills who is out of remaining eligibility.
Prior to his time at K-State, Tang was the top assistant coach for Baylor and coached Cryer for his first two collegiate seasons. This relationship, as well as the clear need for a starting guard, makes Kansas State the top landing spot for Cryer who could reconnect with Tang on a program clearly on the rise. With Tang back on his side and his role clearly defined, Cryer could become next year鈥檚 version of Nowell and rise to superstar status.
